Instantis Positioned as a “Visionary” by the Leading IT Industry Analyst Firm in an Evaluation of Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications
Result follows on the heels of “strong positive” rating – highest rating given in an evaluation of Project & Portfolio Management Applications
August 18, 2011 -- Santa Clara, CA —— Instantis, the leading SaaS-based provider of Enterprise Project portfolio Management (EPPM) software, announced today it has been positioned by Gartner, Inc. in the Visionaries quadrant of its new "Magic Quadrant for Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications, 2011" report. The report is part of the PPM Market Universe series which includes the "Market Scope for Project & Portfolio Management Applications, 2011" which replaces the former IT PPM Magic Quadrant. In that report Instantis was one of only five vendors to achieve "strong positive", the highest possible rating given. Instantis was also included in the new "PPM Market Universe: PPM for New Product Development Market Roundup, 2011" and the "Competitive Landscape: SaaS Project and Portfolio Management Software, Worldwide, 2011’ published in April 2011.
To qualify for the Integrated IT Portfolio Analysis Applications report vendors must provide a top-down, independent IT portfolio management system that can support a number of integration scenarios of IT portfolio-level planning for decision making across the IT PMO, Application Management, Enterprise Architecture and IT Operations, without any dependencies on the core functions of a transactional project and resource management platform. Criteria that were weighted highest included product/service, market responsiveness and track record, market understanding, product strategy and innovation.
"What this magic quadrant result says to us is that there are a number of strong visionaries and challengers in this emerging market and leadership positions are up for grabs," said Dr. Prasad Raje, Instantis founder and CEO. "We believe we are best positioned for leadership due to our top-down enterprise portfolio management approach and unique FlexSaaS™ technology platform."
