Instantis Launches Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) Blog
BLOG site targets PPM practitioners and stakeholders across the enterprise. Complementary LinkedIn Group also launched to provide an interactive forum for peer-to-peer discussion.
December 9 , 2010 -- Santa Clara, CA — Instantis, the leading on-demand provider of Enterprise Project Portfolio Management (EPPM) software used by business process and IT leaders to improve strategy execution and financial performance, formally launched today a BLOG site entitled: Enterprise PPM: the BLOG site for PPM practitioners and stakeholders across the enterprise.
The BLOG site targets those interested in following and driving the trend towards EPPM. Instantis defines EPPM as the practice of taking a more integrated and tops-down approach to managing all-project intensive work and resources across the enterprise. EPPM contrasts with traditional PPM practices of maintaining separate functional and supporting technology silos to manage IT, product development, process improvement and other enterprise initiatives and programs.
“There is plenty of online commentary and discussions about project portfolio management,” said Wayne Caccamo, VP of Marketing at Instantis. “Most of this discussion, and rightly so, is focused on IT PPM since IT represents the largest community of practitioners. But, project-intensive work is happening across the enterprise in areas like product development, operations, supply chain, sales and marketing, and corporate social responsibility. We believe that a more inclusive, integrated and top-down view of the PPM landscape is unlocking tremendous opportunities to improve business strategy and program execution; resource and risk management; and TCO for PPM technology investments.”
Instantis invites all PPM professionals and stakeholders to subscribe to the BLOG and join the related discussion on a new LinkedIn Group called “Enterprise PPM Community.”
