Sunnyvale, CA — July 22, 2003 —
Instantis, a leading provider of Enterprise Performance Excellence solutions, today announced that Xerox Corporation has chosen the Instantis solution to efficiently support Xerox’s enterprise-wide Lean Six Sigma effort. The Instantis solution will be a central system for managing Lean Six Sigma ideas, charters, projects, teams, reports and more.
Xerox Corporation offers an array of document solutions, services and systems that help customers improve work processes and business results. Building on its legacy and leadership in quality, last year Xerox combined the best of Lean principles with Six Sigma tools to develop a Lean Six Sigma program that will help the company further reduce business complexity and increase productivity. Formally launched in January, the Lean Six Sigma program is supported by the highest levels in the company.
As expected, Xerox has seen growth in the number of projects and practitioners within the company, with about 200 projects under way. To effectively track and monitor all projects and financial results through a single platform, Xerox selected the Six Sigma Project Lifecycle Management (SSPLM) solution from Instantis.
"We expect the Instantis solution will offer both comprehensive functionality and the flexibility to be adapted to our specific Lean Six Sigma deployment," said Dave Aquila, director of finance for Xerox’s Lean Six Sigma program.
Instantis is customizing SSPLM to meet the specific requirements of Xerox. The solution will include an Idea Portal, Project Deliverables Tracker, Documents and Tools Manager, Global Team Manager, Financials Manager, Reports Dashboard, and a Project Alert Messenger.
"Six Sigma and Lean Six Sigma initiatives are leading to tremendous performance improvement in global market leading corporations like Xerox. Instantis’ SSPLM solution is designed to help enterprises manage and grow their Six Sigma efforts, resulting in better visibility for all stakeholders and quicker realization of results," said Prasad Raje, CEO and Founder, Instantis.
Ease of use, flexibility, and speed of deployment of the Instantis Six Sigma solution are consistently rated as outstanding by Instantis customers. Companies can choose to deploy Instantis SSPLM either inside their enterprise or from Instantis datacenters. The solution is highly customizable to the specific needs of an enterprise, and the modular table-driven architecture enables parameterization of many elements of the solution, including look and feel, workflow, and arbitrary roadmaps.
